one phrase like "step change" and the room forgets how to breathe.

one rumor and the stock chart starts communicating through interpretive panic.

which is bleak, yes. but also kind of the exact vibe of ai discourse right now. everyone wants the future to arrive, but only if it arrives politely, fully documented, and without hurting the portfolio.
